Hello, my name is Amanda Madak and I am completing a bachelor’s degree in advertising at Central Michigan University (CMU) with a minor in multimedia design and marketing. I am expected to graduate in May.

In summer of 2019, I worked two internships and a part-time job. I accepted a summer agency internship with All Seasons Communications in Romeo, Michigan. In this role, I learned how to communicate with clients, develop copy and organize projects. My other internship was at Automation Alley in Troy, Michigan. I was a marketing specialist and learned how to create marketing materials and generate sales. Finally, I was a special event associate at the Detroit Zoo where I help promote and managed events. 

My past work experience has helped me get involved in many extracurricular activities at CMU. To highlight a few, I am involved in the Victoria’s Secret PINK Campus Team, CMU’s Campus Ambassador Program and Advertising Club. In addition to these clubs, I am also the marketing coordinator for CMU’s Up All Night event. 

I have developed a passion for advertising and marketing through classes, clubs and work. This has led to me to develop a goal after graduation. I am looking to obtain a full-time job as a marketing coordinator in the information technology industry.

I have created this blog for my JRN 340: Introduction to Digital Journalism class.
